DESIGN

Early Coordination Before Systems Are Locked
We partner during schematic design and early development to maximize cost efficiency, prefabrication compatibility, and schedule performance through:
Design Assist & Delegated Design
Structural Engineering * Constructability Reviews
Digital Construction (BIM/VDC)
Structural Engineering * Constructability Reviews
The Insight: Evaluating sequencing and installation early guarantees total flexibility before construction begins.
02

SUPPLY

Coordinated Procurement and Prefabrication Strategy
QB helps align engineering, fabrication, supplier capabilities, and procurement strategy before materials ever reach the jobsite.

This includes:
Manufacturer coordination
Supplier capability awareness
Prefab framing integration
By coordinating supply decisions earlier, QB helps reduce procurement risk, improve fabrication compatibility, and support more predictable project delivery.

FAQs

Integrated Services

Commercial Mass Timber Construction

Does Quality Buildings handle design, fabrication, and installation, or only part of the process?

Quality Buildings handles all of it. We're a single accountable partner across four phases: design, engineering, supply, and installation, and we run them in-house rather than coordinating subcontractors. Our 8-step process covers project funding, scheduling, engineering and design, product sourcing, fabrication, logistics, moisture protection, and installation.

Do I need to hire a separate timber specialist, structural engineer, and GC?

No. QB integrates structural engineering, BIM coordination, prefabrication, and field installation under one contract — covering the full mass timber and prefab framing scope as a single accountable partner. You keep your architect of record, MEP engineers, and general contractor; QB delivers the structural scope to them as one integrated package, rather than three separate trades they'd otherwise have to coordinate.

When should I bring QB into my project?

The earlier, the better. Working with QB during schematic design unlocks the greatest cost savings and allows for optimizing panelization, grid spacing, and structural system selection before drawings are locked.
