A race to the U.S. Women's Open, won under pressure

Lancaster Country Club (LCC) launched a $20 million renovation project in preparation for hosting the 2024 U.S. Women's Open. The scope included a new Activities Building, Club House, Pro Shop, Paddle Shop, and Pool. Quality Buildings was designed, built, delivered, and installed 275 off-site prefabricated wall panels for four buildings totaling 30,000 sq. ft. The aggressive schedule required completion by Memorial Day 2021.The project presented significant site challenges, including steep topography, a road running through the active construction zone, and simultaneous pool construction that restricted access to two sides of the site. Quality Buildings deployed a 35-ton mobile crane to navigate these conditions. The team also proactively identified and resolved multiple issues, including adding additional roof truss load capacity for a sprinkler redesign and recommending a change in window installation materials to preserve manufacturer warranties.
