LongCrest Senior Housing

LongCrest was developed by Presbyterian Senior Living to repurpose the historic 1905 Long Home in Lancaster Township into an affordable senior living community honoring Judge Henry Long, its original benefactor. The project included a 24,468 sq. ft. renovation of the existing main structure and carriage house and a 62,698 sq. ft. new addition with 52 apartments. Quality Buildings delivered a full turnkey framing package, working to preserve the historical integrity of the building while integrating new construction. Unexpected foundation delays required the project schedule to shift from one phase to two phases—a change that Quality Buildings absorbed through the flexibility of their prefab model. Their value analysis and pre-engineered planning identified design conflicts, potential framing issues, and manufacturing constraints before the team arrived on-site. Advanced scheduling software and competitive procurement of lumber and truss packages helped reduce risk for both the owner and GC.
