Oakwood Hills Apartments in Mechanicsburg, PA is a student housing complex near Messiah College offering one- and two-bedroom units, a clubhouse with a swimming pool, and walking trails. Because student housing requires adherence to strict move-in deadlines, Quality Buildings leveraged its off-site panel manufacturing process to reduce on-site construction time and free the jobsite for other trades. Quality Buildings' preconstruction 3D modeling revealed a critical discrepancy: the dimensions noted on the architectural plans did not match the current foundation plans. The QB team recreated the floor plan to actual dimensions and submitted revised plans back to the architect—allowing the project to continue without requiring a full redesign. Control lines for the masons were established based on the corrected dimensions to ensure the prefab framing would fit the foundation exactly.
