Pennsylvania State Police Academy Marquee Building

The Pennsylvania State Police Academy is undergoing a multi-phase campus redevelopment in Hershey, PA, highlighted by a new 102,000-square-foot marquee building overlooking Hersheypark Drive. Quality Buildings provided mass timber supply and installation services, along with specialty structural engineering for the project’s cross-laminated timber (CLT) scope. The structure incorporates more than 300 unique CLT decking panels, each individually fabricated and precisely coordinated with over 10,000 steel Nelson studs connecting the timber system with the building’s structural steel. Through detailed engineering, prefabrication, and installation coordination, QB helped streamline the integration of these complex structural systems while maintaining the precision required for a project of this scale.
