The Colby College Mayflower Hill Residence Hall is a large-scale student housing development in Waterville, Maine, consisting of approximately 112,000 square feet across six interconnected buildings designed to foster a community-focused living environment. As one of the largest mass timber projects in the region, the structure utilizes glulam framing with CLT floor and roof panels to deliver both sustainability and construction efficiency. Quality Buildings provided a turnkey mass timber scope, including supply and installation, supporting the execution of this complex, multi-building system. The project highlights the scalability of mass timber in higher education, combining prefabrication, speed, and a high-quality living experience for students.
