60-foot glulam trusses deliver a dramatic, column-free interior for a large-scale communal dining space, achieving both structural and aesthetic goals in a natural camp setting.
Long-span mass timber trusses (60 feet) enable large open gathering spaces without interior columns—ideal for communal dining environments—and demonstrate Quality Buildings' capability with ambitious structural spans.
Rebuilding a camp's heart after the fire
The Camp Tel Yehudah Dining Hall in Barryville, NY is a 12,000-square-foot mass timber facility built to replace the original structure following a fire. Designed to restore a central gathering space for the camp, the new dining hall utilizes glulam beams and trusses—totaling over 130 pieces—to create a warm, durable, and open environment. Quality Buildings provided a full turnkey mass timber scope, including supply and installation, ensuring efficient delivery and precise execution. The project demonstrates how mass timber can quickly and effectively rebuild essential community spaces with both resilience and character.
